Default WHY does other 350Z sounds louder than mine?!

I've done some searches on the forum and couldn't find what i am looking for so i started a new one
unless i missed it. sorry in advance.

well.. my story is.. i have a 04 350Z base with stock exhaust.
and when G35 and other 350Z pass me not at a high speed, their exhaust seems to be so much louder than mine...

i'm wondering is it because 04 mufflers diameter is smaller than the years after 04? or is there something wrong with my engine valve which creates less power and less exhaust sound... or 04 just don't sound as loud compare to the other models.

I'm most definitely sure that the other cars sounds.. they were no modification to it because it looks very stock.

could someone explain to me why this is happening? because if its my engine, i want to fix it and get the sound back again, thanks in advance everyone

They have an exhaust, or test pipes. Also you can hear their exhaust better than yours b/c as they pass you their exhaust is pointed twords you, so you can hear it better.

Why don't you let one of your friends drive your car and you can stand on the side of street. You'll then realize your car sounds the same as the other 350z's and G35's.

The sound is just a little deceiving when you're driving the car. Unless you have something mechanically wrong, I'm guessing its your mind/ears playing tricks on you.

Fartcan...

But anyhow, I agree that the stock exhaust sounds nice. Your exhaust probably sounds just like all others...

after reading all this, it does make me feel better a bit.. hahahaha..

but i'm hoping nothing wrong with it internally because it keeps on making me think it doesn't sound as loud.

^OMG, hilarious.

OP, are you comparing stock to stock?

Obvious answer is because they have a modified exhaust with either test pipes/high flow cats or another exhaust entirely.
