06 Long Block Swap
I have a 2006 Enthusiast with 15,000 miles on the car about 9,000 on the motor. I had my engine replaced last year due to an issue with the motor burning oil. I have been playing telephone tag with the Nissan dealership for a while, and finally got the call today to let me know that they are going to replace the long block...again. This will be the second time the long block will be replaced due to an oil burning issue.
My question is: Since they are going to be replacing the long block of my 2006, and since the 2006 motor is unique to the other years. And, I assume the 2006 motor hasn't been produced for almost 4 years now. Where will they be getting this long block from? Will it even be a 2006 long block?
I know nobody will know the answers for sure, except for the Nissan, but does anyone have any ideas???

I have oil consumption and for this reason I'm going to wait a few years.. Deal.. And then do a rebuild.. Probably from FORGED!! Cuz I hear alot a good stuff about em'!
Make sure they are giving you the engine with a part number that ends in Z I believe..
Otherwise your gettin the same junk. I work in the automotive biz and we make service parts and safety stock all the time so its possible that the engine was built recently.
