Default Has Anyone put this in their Diff?

I am planning on using this gear oil in my diff tomorrow. Just wanted to see if anyone has used it. Lucas 80w-90 GL-5 gear oil. I know that is the requirement of our cars and I don't want to stray from the specified weight. Plus it says its for LSDs. I really wanted to go with a synthetic like Amsoil 80w-90 but it would take a week to get and I need to change my diff fluid like....yesterday.

check it out...

I'll be using Amsoil once I install my Quaife Diff this month. I like to use synthetic through out the whole car. Last to do on my list is the Tranny.

+1, Spend the few extra bucks on the Motul. I have tried several brands, the only one that seems to hold up the best

You have got to be kidding me?

But anyway. I use Motul 300V and it works great. I'm going to be running the Mobil1 75-90 full synthetic at the next oil change and see how it goes. Here in europe they call it liquid gold for your gearbox (it's meant to be that good!), and it's also VERY expensive, so i figured i'd give it a shot!

I used the Mobil 1 Synthetic in my Cusco RS for a very short time (maybe a week). The two didn't get along at all. I ended up going back to the Castrol dino before going to full synthetic again (I've alternated between Motul Gear 300 75/140 and Motorcraft, both have worked great). The Mobil 1 made the diff pop and make unfriendly noises. Even the Castrol dino stuff worked better. Not sure how it behaves on other diffs though, my only experience was with my Cusco

Torque Spec?!? Just snug it down, and check for leaks!

Never had an issue with mine, and i've never torqued it the three or 4 times i've changed out my fluid.

My bad to bump a 3 yr old thread. Was curious what brand everyone is running. Amsoil, lucas , or motul? And what interval do you all change at?
