Default Steering Free Play

Hi all- I just purchased my first 350Z, but discovered an issue that I believe the other Z's didn't have. My 06' base 350 has about 1" of free play in the wheel prior to any change in direction. Is this a common issue wit the car? Are there any adjustments that could fix this problem?

I finally got around to really searching for the problem and noticed A BOLT missing from the lower linkage just before the pinion housing. Adding a bolt fixed the free play immediately. I also noticed a set of NISMO headers... are these standard on a 2006?? I assume they are aftermarket and the bolt was lost during installation.
