Im trying to be not so ricey about this but in the first "Fast & Furious" the green eclipse made a clicking sound everytime he shifted. Is this due to the hardened shifter busings from a short shifter or some other modification?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Movie magic Bro... I have metal shifter bushings and a B&M short shifter in my Talon. You have to realize, that Eclipse also made turbo noises, and it was just a riced out RS. (Base model, if you're not DSM savy).

Virtually NONE of the car sounds in the movie are the actual sounds those cars made. Almost all movie sounds (except for the main character's dialog) are added later in post processing.
That is true in all modern hollywood movies, not just this one.

ok, so it was movie magic --- but how do real cars make that metallic sound when shifting? is it really hardened bushings?
I always hear that sound on *real* racing vids and it's pretty cool IMO
