No need to delete. I didn't mean it like that. I will try to find the thread for you and bump it back up to the top.

Look under "Coupe" or "View New Posts"
It should be the one with FX45 in the title towards the newest posts.

dude...a v-8...wouldn't that throw off the weight distribution?...plus I don't know how well a Q45 engine would fit...it'd be sweet though.

I don't think it will fit. You will have to change to the MacPherson strut front suspension from the FX. One big reason they run struts is because the V8 didn't fit with the double wishbones.

VQ's (VQ25, VQ30, VQ35) are only 6 cylinder.

If they ever drop a V8 into the GT-R it will be one of the VK's

VK45 (Q45, M45, FX45)

or VK56 (Titan, Armada)

if you wanted a V8 shoulda bought a Z06 itd come out to the same price, and be properly setup to handle it.

not a flame, but it is a very fine line where a modified car your no longer improving on the origonal car but instead creating something new. when you replace the engine I dont think itd even be a Z anymore, after suspension, your closer to a FX45 with a Z shell than a Z with an FX45 engine...

Didn't Top Secret tuner put a twin turbo 4.5 V-8 in a G-35 (japan skyline) w/ about 700hp?

I heard about that actually. Too much work, I'd rather do an LS series swap...better aftermarket, probably better suited for performance purposes than yanking a V8 out of a family sedan or pickup truck.

I think Forseberg's 350Z drift car has/had a 5.6. Correct me if I'm wrong. Probably not easy by any means but not impossible either.

PF currently has a G56. There's a thread about it with pics. Should be done in a week or two.
