i found this on my cylinder block and i can't find any info on it anywhere.

What does that whole piece do or something on that piece?

 

It looks like something that might have been used during the initial construction of the engine. Then it's been plugged and that bolt holds it in.

Is that a Rev-up or HR engine? I assume we're looking at the front drivers side, correct?

 

Looks like a plug for either oil or water.
