High Idle after car has been running
Hey guys, last night i was out driving my car fairly hard. Keep in mind its a 2007 Nismo. I did a few pulls never taking it above 7k. When I headed back to base i noticed every light or stop sign i came too it would idle at about 1300 rpms. It took me roughly 10 minutes to get back and drove it at a lower rpm range the whole time, never getting on it again. I sat in the parking lot when i got home for a good few minutes and it still never came down below 1300. Any ideas on this? This same thing happened last week as well... so i wouldnt be as worried if it was the first time. This morning jumped in it, warmed it up, drove to work and it was just fine again. Im getting worried because I use this at the strip as well as for AutoX, so i dont want to continue doing this...
P.S. I havent made any recent mods, although i do have TP's and Nismo CAI and have had them for quite some time.
Thanks for the help

I dug into the throttle abit today in my Nismo. Anyway, I didn't notice any high idle for me. Its at the normal 600 rpm range. Is your idle bouncing? If it is it could be your idle control valve. Let me get back to you on that. I've never experienced that with my Nismo. Is your gas pedal stuck at all?

No bounce in the rpms at idle and no pedal stick. Its a steady 1300. I even rev'ed it a couple times sitting there to see if it was the pedal, no such luck. Ive been doing some digging today and found a couple people with somewhat similiar issues that ended up being the MAF. Possibility?

I'd say it could be your ecu or it could be like you said the MAF. I would check into those first. Like sometimes, on my DD car it would rev to 1000 then go back down. You should get it reset either at the dealership or unless you know somebody. Also, is their any possibility of a bad throttle linkage? Do you have any video? In my opinion, its computer related. Do you have a tune? I'm not an expert on tuning but there are some people on here that are.

OP you could try cleaning the MAF sensors and/or do an idle air volume relearn. http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm

Yea, so no throttle linkage, iacv, etc... Computer does it all.
Also, like I said, he can reset everything himself so if that is where the problem lies he will be able to cure it.
If that doesn't cure it there may be an air leak or some other issue.
OP, any CEL codes and how many miles are on the car?

Well, both MAF sensors are clean, reset the idle air volume on the ECU, same issues. Only thing that came up was a slight misfire and the same idle issues.... I'm at a loss... letting the car cool now. Gonna head back out in an hour to see what I can come up with... any other ideas?

Well, replaced both MAF's with new ones and did an idle air volume relearn one more time and everything is running correctly again. Im guessing it has something to do with these nismo intakes. Now im trying to locate some OEM intakes and just do K&N drop ins. Thanks again for the help
