Default Low Coolant?

Sup guys,

I have 35,000 miles on my 07 HR and today I noticed that my coolant is low. My reservoir is almost completely empty. I haven't noticed any leaks, so why would this happen? BTW in case it matters, I live in the hot south. =P

Thanks,
John

yup, evaporation. or possible coolant overflow due to overheating. just refill it appropriately at the reservoir.

Coolant is a closed system. It does not get used up. You have a leak somewhere.

Coolant gets filled at the radiator, not at the overflow resevoir. With the car cool, check the coolant level in the radiator itself...follow the FSM procedure for filling as needed. At 35k miles, you would be well advised to flush and fill the coolant anyway

The reservoir has Min/Max levels embossed on the side facing the engine. Even at Max, it appears empty to the untrained eye.
