Default Need Clutch "Kit" Help

I'm about to upgrade to a Stage2 Clutch set-up.

I've currently found 2 Combo packages that I'm interested in. The first is a complete ClutchMasters kit, and the second is a Exedy Clutch with a Fidanza flywheel. (The latter being what a friend has on his)

Price isn't really an issue as there's only about a $100 difference between them. Was just curious as to what you all may suggest or if you have/had either your opinions.

I currently own a 2005 350Z Track.

have you searched through user reviews to see what people say?

you have to define your needs/wants/budget

I recently purchased the Spec stage 3 clutch kit, and added the Spec steel flywheel to my 2008 350Z. The total cost was about a grand and I did the install myself.

When launching the car hard with the stock set up I was having clutch slippage issues, therefore I decided to move to an aftermarket clutch.

I have about 1200 miles on the new set up and am happy with it.

One note here some flywheels (the Spec flywheel did) have more than one dowel pin hole for alignment of the star wheel for the crank position sensor to work (keep in mind that my car was a 2008 with the HR motor so your 05 my be differnt) and keep the correct crank position signal. Therefore look closely at the new flywheel and if more than one pin hole is present, make sure you take the extra time to orient it correctly.

I realise that this does not specifically address the clutch kits you referenced, but is just my .02 worth.

I am currently looking through reviews, just wanted to cover my bases by coming to my350Z.com. A number of you are avid tuners and was just hoping for another avenue of assistance.

My needs adn wants is to improve my shifting over the stock clutch I have now. Any time I shift at higher rpms it seems like the clutch just won't handle the load. I've driven my buddy's Z with the kit I mentioned and the issue wasn't present.

As for price, as I said there's only about a $100 difference, so not really stressed.

a new stock clutch very well may solve whatever issue it is you're having..I really can't understand what you mean by "at high rpm it won't handle the load" - that statement just doesn't make sense to me, explain? What load? What isn't being handled? What is it doing and what are you expecting it to do?
