Hey bud are you working on a conversion yourself? Reason I ask is because I live in San Antonio myself now. So if thats the case maybe we can share some info on the build.
Oh wow man did not know you lived in SA.. Yeah bro doing my conversion myself, except for the tube chassis and crash bar I am going to get made. We should def link up and help each other out.. |
Good stuff!!.. if you can find a good ls2/tranny combo for cheap this would be a good upgrade. This swap is so tempting.

dAM this is some Sikky $h!+.. Wow, truly beautiful!

Like the L33, all-aluminum 310/325 5.3L from specific models of Chevy trucks (many of the 5.3's are iron-block, and about 65-70 pounds heavier than the aluminum versions, so do your research if you go this route), LS family, all LS bolt-ons work just fine, same mounting patterns, T56 and all the other standard transmissions bolt up like any other. Or the L76, basically an LS2 (6.0L, all-aluminum, 367/375 rated from the factory) with the same origination as the L33 above. As a self-proclaimed cheapskate, I'm doing plenty of research into this arena. ;) |
thats a good way to go as well... Ive been looking around just for the kick, seeing options... ive ran into some nice ls2 engines locally, one of a gto and one of a vette.. 15K and 35K miles with tranny harness and everything for 5K.. not badd!

There's a *LOT* of engines out there that are in the LS family that aren't directly named "LS(?)", which can often be had for FAR less money than something named thusly.
