Default 05 trans in 03

i bought a 05 350z transmission and its going to be installed in my 03 next week. the old trans has the 3rd gear grind and i cant stand it. is there anything i should be aware before the swap and is it fully compatible with my vehicle? your advice is much appreciated, thanks!!

there may be a clutch pivot ball length and clutch fork style difference. there was a change made at some point in 03 to the pivot ball length and clutch fork style (I'm pretty sure it was 03).

you just need to make sure you are using the proper fork with the proper pivot ball. either use both new style or both old style. don't mix and match.
