Hey,
So this is in reference to a thread I started previously about my OEM cats heat soaking my shifter and burning the crap out of me in the summer after i park my car and get back in quickly.
Since im about to replace the cluth fly master and slave, I also ordered a Solid trans mount, TWM Shifter, extender and shift ****... and its going to get hot as hell.
So while Im in there I decided to ditch the cats for res'd Intense Power test pipes n non foulers.
Before I install them, Id like to wrap them to further lessen the heat soak.... and Ive been told DEI is the best. Its not cheap.
SO.. to wrap two resonated test pipes... what would you assume Id need to order? They seem to sell quantities of 50 feet, in one or two inch widths.
Any guidance for me?
Im tempted to buy 100 feet of the 2 inch for about 80 bucks, but still.. thot id better ask you all.
Thanks for the help on any replies.

One set of 50x2" DEI will work for a set of HFC's if you don't overwrap them. Just remember, normally we don't wrap HFC's because you don't want the heat being stored inside the cat.

hey thanks for the reply, i do apprecaite that.. yes i read up on that about oem cats.. appears heat is what casues the cats to work, and disapating it seems necessary.. thats why im opting for test pipes for the time being.
W the frequency my car goes under the knife for new parts and the easy resale market here in AZ, i assume trying the test pipes will give me a basis point for either loving them or getting HFCs in the future.
Im only looking to wrap the test pipes, def not the stocker cats.
Thanks again, i appreciate you saving me some cash.
