HR trans help

okay so my 5th gear synchro on my 04 z is bad and i got offered a trans from a vq35hr for a steal. i tried doing some searches but didnt find a definite answer on whether or not the swap would work. help pleazz

the transmission from a HR 350z wont directly bolt up to a DE motor, I forget whats different with the 2 but im not sure if you can modify the HR trans to make it work
