I am planning to change the clutch in my 2006 Z to nismo's R-tune clutch.
When I was doing some searching, I read in the nismo catalogue that for the nismo clutch (30100-RS252US) and clutch cover (30210-RSZ30US), it says the following.
Application: 2003-2005 Coupe, 2005-2006 Roadster with manual, (Anniversary and 2006 Z requires return spring modification for 06 hi-rev application)
Does anyone know exactly what modification is needed on the return spring?
Do you take the existing OEM return spring to mod and it is easy?
I didn't know that the clutch in the 06 rev up engine is different than the 2003-2005.
Thanks.

Also I read in the forums that the nismo flywheel will make a chattering sound around the ~2000 rpm area due to the its ligher weight.
From the nismo.co.jp site.
"NISMO clutch discs and flywheels listed in this contents may generate resonant (rattling) noises from the transmission and bearings, compared to NISSAN genuine parts. Please note that this noise is not a quality or performance failure. "
http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/c...tch/index.html
Is this rattling and chattering really annoying when doing street driving where the engine operates between 1700-2500 rpm?
Any feedback is appreciated before I proceed to buy this nismo clutch.
Thanks.

I have an OS Giken Flywheel/clutch that is lighter than stock and it chatters until about 2500rpm. It's a bit annoying so I drive around city streets in 4th/5th gear to keep it around 3000rpm.

Driving at higher revs is any easy but fuel costly way to prevent the flywheel chattering. Thanks for the input.
But can some one answer my question about the nismo clutch question.
