Pinion flange help!
So I'm new to the forum and am running into a problem with my 350. Tried searching all over as a guest and on other sites but figured Id take my chance askin you guys.
Recently wrecked my z this past thanksgiving and finally pulling itbout from winter to fix. Today I finished replacing all my right rear suspension and including hub assembly. But now is where I'm stuck, when I started taking it apart after the accident the pinion flange came out with ease from the differential and wasnt able to mark it for reinstatement. Not really familiar with the differential as is anyway, but wondering how I need to reinstall it.
Any help or tips are appreciated

Look at section RFD (rear final drive) of the service manual for your year car. I was just looking at the '07 manual.
It doesn't look like you have to put it back in any particular orientation. It calls for a special tool to protect the oil seal as you install the flange, but maybe you can figure out something to accomplish the purpose.
You drive the flange in until the sound changes, which indicates it's fully seated. Then it calls for taking a measurement from flange to flange across the differential. It says not to reuse the oil seal, to put some grease on the new seal, and also cautions that the left side flange might come out when you're driving the right side flange in.
Despite all that, it's probably no big deal to put it back in without damaging anything.
