Ok well when i installed my jwt pop charger i know it would throw it into limp mode, because the MAF sensor would trip. i cleared the codes (one of my boys works at NTB) so that is working now. If i install my spacer 5/16th will it trip the sensor or no? because my friend said just to take the battery off so when i install it it would just reset all the codes

 

If you disconnect the MAF sensor while the battery is connected, then it will throw a code.

Disconnect the negative battery cable before doing the install and it will be fine.

Agree. Sensors such as MAF are sensitive to connecting and disconnecting. Before doing this type of work I recommend that you disconnect the battery.
