Default Clutch and Flywheel Question(s)

I've decided to upgrade my clutch and flywheel and I have a couple of questions.

1. I've read that the JWT flywheel is very noisy. How does the noise compare to an ACT flywheel? What about in terms of performance?

2. I'm looking into getting an ACT clutch. Assuming I get the pressure plate used what should I look out for to make sure it's in excellent condition?

3. When upgrading the clutch and flywheel is there anything else that I should upgrade or might as well upgrade since I'm already going to be doing these two upgrades?

Thanks as always

ACT or JWT flywheel is going to cause rattling of the trans gears, They are too light to dampen the engine firing pulses. The only flywheel I know of that will not cause the loud rattle in the trans is the South Bend unit

I would not recommend a used pressure plate unless it has been checked by a clutch builder. New is a better option.

To pick the correct clutch you need to know what power level you are running at and what types of driving you will be doing with the car.

There are many choices in clutch materials and different pressure plate clamp loads out there, Getting the right combo will offer you a clutch that will last as long as possible and drive the best according to your needs.

Clutch finally went out on the Z, unfortunatly. I bought it used with a stage 2 excedy. I don't really race it unless Im goofing off with my friends in the backroads. However I'm not sure to replace it with an oem or something performance. An I read article that said factory flywheels can't be resurfaced. I was hoping to get an info before I do anything.

JWT, just get one. You will be happy with it. The noise will only bother you if you have a bone stock car. If your lowered, have exhaust etc etc , you will hardly ever hear it.
