Default Auto with paddle shift 350z question

I know the z can carry a paddle shift setup however, I wonder if anyone has done anything with the reaction time of the shift... the Z seems like it could be a bit faster compared to other cars with the same setup example....

As WAIZZZ noted, valve mod in the tranny(several companies offer these)really speeds up the shifting process in AT cars.I have a AT car, tune of my systems improved the reaction time of the shift. But not at the level of the valve mod(but much cheaper!).The video of the 350 shows paddle shifts at the same speed(lag)as mine was before a tune.
The paddle shifter kit does nothing to change the shift speed. For about $500+huge install price, unless you are a savy DIY'er,you get convenience of the part that does the shifting at your finger tips and the looks.Nothing else has changed. The EVO(X R) shown in the video was set up,more than likely had trans
mods/and tune done for optimum shifts. Not a fair comp to a stock AT Z.

I've got a pretty unique works bell addon shift kit w/ aftermarket wheel.

It's a lot of fun to drive.

The GTM and Transgo upgrade are both pricey and technical installs.
I haven't bought one yet, and think I'll pass as much as I enjoy the setup
as it stands...

TransGo is only like $200 from Summit, find someone local who's done it before to install. also need new tranny fluid. def worth it, i have TransGo w/WB paddles and it makes a pretty HUGE difference

Sd - no clunky shifts? I've been in a transgo car and shifts
Were not crisp, but hard (if that makes any sense)

nah, shift are def "crisp," not laggy at all anymore. if anyone's was "clunky" after TransGo, i would get they have some bad grounds causing electronic lag between the shifter and tranny
