Thanks, FLY BY Z! I thought that the cams needed to be broken in a little bit. Why else would it be recommended that the oil be changed around a thousand miles after the install.

Thanks for posting all the info. If you wouldn't mind, how much for the install?

Around 13 hours for labor + shims, new oil, filter, etc. It all Came out to about $1200 dollars.

You are absolutely right. The car wants to stall so bad everytime I bring it to a stop. I'm currently having a hell of a time finding a dealer who will do the timing advance and idle adjustments for under an hours labor. I know that I'll pull better numbers once the adjustments are done.
Be happy if you find a dealer who is even willing to do it. The first NISMO-authorized dealer we contacted, which is also where I had bought the car and had all maintenance done to that point, refused to touch the setting for us.

I promptly found another dealer who is willing to play ball and was even happy to do so. It did cost me an hour worth of labor though. Go ahead and pay it... you've already spent several thousand $$$$s on the parts, another $75 to get it running smooth is well worth it.

oh... and of course... let us know how you like it with everything tuned right!

It's always better to use actual vs. SAE when doing a back to back dyno to see the gains of a mod on the same day. Altitude and temperature isnt going to change much in that period.

The cam install took about two weeks, so the dynos were exactly two weeks apart. With the cams & exhaust, the car pulled 256 rwhp and 234 rwt actual.

Just wondering how come the torque came out so low? Isn't the higher the torque, the better you are off with it? Shouldn't it be some what close to the rwhp? I'm kind of new to this reading the Dyno chart, So, kind of trying to figure out what's better for the Z? Any info would be great, thanks.

I highly recommend some hi-flow cat pipes and the UR crank pulley. I'll go on a limb here and say i'm pretty sure you'll gain at least 15rwhp.

Different dyno's put out different numbers. There's no way around it.

I agree! But next week I have an appointment to do some testing with Vishnu's XEDE. It should be interesting.
