So about 2 months ago I put in a Kaaz 2 way super Q at 60% lock. Today while driving doing about 30 mph, driving steady not on the throttle I felt the car jerk very slightly. Pulled into a parking lot and saw a hole about the size of a golf ball in my diff cover. Any ideas what could cause this? Also it has been very cold recently up here in South Dakota.

 

wasn't installed correctly...always read diff installation to be difficult.

 

Im going to bet on a bolt that holds the ring gear on, fell off and ........ BAM
