Her heart beat has weakened a little. After all, open heart surgery is not very minor ...

To explain a little better
The JWT cams are going in along with a polished front engine cover. That will bring the mod list to:
- Crawford Premium Polished Plenum
- Crawford Headers
- Crawford Hi Flow Cats
- JWT Cams
- JWT Pop Charger
- Borla True Dual
- A lot of stereo cr@p
- iForged Aeros wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sports
- some LEDs here and there
- JWT Flywheel w/ 300zx TT clutch (in about 30-45 days)
- Crawford designed TS ECU flash (possibly soon)
Dyno will be run in late Feb - early March after the cams are broke in.

She's a young one (4700 miles) so I only trust her to the best Dr.s !!! I trust them more than the local Nissan dealer.
Doug and John are awesome ... period.

As for JWT over Nismo, yep a couple of reasons actually:
Talked alot with Doug at Crawford and he likes lift over duration. His "secret engine" weapon was given MANY options including mixing and matching cams and overall, he said the JWT is best for the motor.
JWT did the intial cam grind for Nismo. JWT then took that grind and tried to make it better. They took 2 degrees of duration off, but added .010" of lift. The lift is the HIGEST on the market (including the Tomei 268).
Nismo made 15 on a Z, JWT made 16 on a Z (according to JWT). I then talked to Greg vogel at Mossy Nissan. He made 13fwhp on an ALTIMA with the JWT and 15 rwhp on his Z with Nismo. Being the altime is tuned way down from the Z, he again said he'd go JWT in the Z. With the addition of the higher flowing exhaust I have, and the intake, the higher lift is going to get me more flow then the duration.
The duration makes the lump at idle, but the lift lets more air in/out. Also, JWT has been making Nissan specific hi perf parts for 30 years. And yes, Nissan IS Nismo, but the true aftermarket tends to make a few more ponies then the masnufacturer sponsored divisions. And for those that took that as a Nismo bashing, it is NOT. GMPP makes less power than Edelbrock and SVT makes less power than Trickflow. Most manufacturer sponsored race divisions offer warranties so they have to keep it semi calm. The pure aftermarket doesn't. So for those looking to bash me, go for it. I am planning a trip to SoCal this summer and I'd be glad to race anyone out there NA to NA (especially Jeff and Jason as we now seem pretty well matched).

I'll also be going JWT over NISMO cams. They are cheaper, 2 deg less duration (smoother idle - not much), and they have more lift (.4 mm). I think it is an overall better setup for less money.
Damn, you beat me to it. Think of mine as a summary.
BTW, does anyone know the max lift before valve slap?
