Default Time-sert on the VQ

Hi Folks,

We were torquing down the heads in a vq35de using l19 head studs. We were doing them in proper sequence and following the 3 step. Once we got to the #6 stud the 3rd time around the nut would not torque to 90fl lbs. it just kept spinning and the stud came right out eventually. Is it safe to use a time-sert on the aluminum block on the VQ? If not what's other options are available besides taking it to the machine shop?

When I tore my last built block down 2 years ago for new bearings I ended up pulling a stud out at only 70lbs. I helicoiled it and then 2 other different studs pulled out after that at only 60lbs.

I honestly think there are some casting flaws and once the metal fatigues from use it is ruined. Time cert are stronger than the helicoil but you might ruin a few sets of head gaskets like I did with other ones pulling out. I scrapped it and bought a new block.
