CAI and HKS ground kit are the other mods. I made around 10 peak and 12-17+ approaching redline.

Yes, I know. What I am is asking is is there a benefit to this plenum over the OEM piece in a FI application? I suspect that the answer is no.

Equal distribution to all cylinders...

Is that not reason enough? Even under compressed conditions (i.e. turbo, s/c, etc...) this "feature" is still MOST beneficial.

We (Jenny) talked to Dan yesterday. He'll be at the dyno day this Saturday the 7th with plenum in hand.

Really? My thinking was that because the manifold is pressurized, the incoming air charge would be forced into areas that are more restricted. The more I think about it though I guess it can't hurt. I guess I'll have to give Doug a call...

Well, it has been said before that under boost, the plenum gives out like an extra 5 rwhp, but don't know where or how long. Didn't seem like it was a substantial amount of power, as a pressurized stock plenum would force air into those areas that needed the air.

While this is true, the flow is still not equal to all cylinders. While it may not be as beneficial in the power department, I would say it may be more rewarding to the longevity of your engine.

You cant really say that the plenum gives power in a F/I application. You still will have to tune, so it all depends on the tuning. The plenum may make it easier (and safer) to tune to the desired specs. It is just another variable.

Ah Jason

Glad you found the thread I refered you to at freshalloy. I don't understand the "sorry i read it wrong" statement. Does that mean we can now count you among the believers? If so, great, welcome aboard. I trust I will be reading some different opinions over at the "G" sites now.
