How good is a factory tune

Default How good is a factory tune

Im just curious if anybody has checked a completely stock cars a/f ratio I'm curious what the numbers are like from the factory?

They run on the lean side for sure. I can't tell you the afr's for sure, but 14ish range probably. Are you gonna blow the motor because of this? Definitely not. But you could squeeze out a little extra power. However, I trust nissans tune over anyone anyday.

the factory tune is a good safe tune until you start making changes to the breathing then it leans out pretty bad. really anything past just an exhaust or intake leans out the tune and would need an aftermarket flash.
