Hey guys! Sorry if this has already been posted but I searched for an answer for an hour as well as contacted almost every department from two of my local Nissan dealers with no luck. Hopefully one of you is smarter

The 4th vin of Nissan products dictates engine type. Nissan's website list vq35de under both vin A and vin B. my question is, does that mean one of them is the front wheel drive engine and the other a rear wheel drive or is one the rev up and the other a standard DE? Is so what is what?

I have a 05 with a non rev up and I'm looking for another to replace my blown engine. There is a guy on eBay claiming to have a 06 that would fit a 05 non 35th anniversary addition. With the 4th vin number being A. He is adamant that his engine will work for me but I'm keen to prove him wrong. Anyone have any info on this?
