hey guys im new here and i would like to know your suggestions.
okay so i know is normal to have the rattling noise from the throw out bearing when the clutch is not pressed in some 350z. i have an aftermarket clutch with a fly wheel (JWT). bu the rattle is getting on my nerves i took it to three different shops they all say is the barring. if i replace the barring with a brand new oem one, would i still have that annoying rattling sound? i cant seem to find an answer for this. any suggestions would be appreciated it. thanks
from my understanding the JWT clutch/FW kit is louder
I'm sure the rattle will still be present
My buddy as the same clutch kit and it has a slight rattle but you really gota liaten for it ,why is mine rattleing so much? Is been like that for 2 years. When the car is at idel you can hear it but when i turn the ac on it sounds like something is gona fall of. I press the clutch in all of the noise goes away. Is 2x luder with ac on im gussing theres more vibration with ac on. Will reaplcing it at least lower the sound i dont mind the slight rattle but right now is to much.
you don't have a throwout bearing since you have the hr. i would replace the internal csc with the zspeed heavy duty one. get ready for a raping if you can't do the labor yourself, you have to drop the transmission to replace it. yes since you have the lightweight flywheel, you will get more chatter when the pedal isn't pushed in. the only way to get rid of most of the chatter is to go back to a dual mass flywheel

^ and there you go!
OP, have any questions on detailing, I'm your man, haha.
my buddy just buffed out my vette, and then we opti-glossed it. if you have never used that stuff, it is amazing.
that is their re-vamp of opticoat 2.0.. was a little disappointed the abrupt way they made their change in coatings going from lifetime warranty 2.0 to 2 year warranty gloss coat.. charging more but giving less volume too.
I know many pros that actually have completely left Dr G and optimum because of what they did to the pro application requirement change.
I haven't gone as far as to completely leave the product line, as I do like their APC, car soap, ONR, and opti-seal.
I'll probably use my unopened opticoat 2.0 to treat the SS exhaust I eventually buy, but may sell for profit if someone offers enough, haha.
In all fairness, I've heard great things about gloss coat.. may eventually try it. But my 22ple Pro's hydrophobic and anti-static properties are second to none.
post some pics of the gloss coated vet!

yeah i didn't like how they changed it, charged more for less.... but it goes on so easy, i was impressed. OP not trying to derail your thread too much, already told you what you needed.
so now to the vette.... i went with silver because, doesn't show scratches and chips like black (which my 350 was)
car is going friday to have the roof and b pillars wrapped gloss black, and then the following weekend, opti-ing the wheels and calipers, and then doing some back to black stuff my buddy uses on the plastic pieces

look into Carpro DLUX, it is a plastic trim coating.. restores and protects it's a much longer lasting protection 1+ year.. is also hydrophobic like the paint coatings. I have it one the plastic piece next to the side windows on the Z. Can also use it on wheels and wheel wells too.

BTW clean your wells, haha.
Vette looks good!
can tell you are a detailer! working on it, but since it is my daily the wells are going to be dirty.... not to mention we didn't touch them, we were planning on doing it the same time as the wheels.

I figured there was a good reason.. someone who coats their car wouldn't be forgetting the wells.
i told my buddy that did the car what you said, he laughed and said detailers will point stuff like that out. he said he has heard about that stuff but never used it....we just might order it
Regards, 07 3fitt, umm, OP: "i took it to three different shops they all say is the barring."
First, find a new mechanic. One who knows what he's taking about.
Think about it; when the clutch pedal is released the clutch is engaged, the throwout bearing is idle. The noise you're hearing is (very likely) the transmission input shaft bearings, amplified by the undamped lightweight flywheel. When the clutch pedal is down (clutch DISengaged), the input shaft is then idle, no noise.
Got it? If not then search the forum, there are literally hundreds of posts about this subject. Enter "Cement mixer", a good start.
Click the link, a CSC is shown, the second listing. Click on the image to enlarge. Note that the clutch release bearing is integral to the CSC. You'll not find a separate throwout bearing for the HR Z. Scroll 'bout half way down the page, there's a stand-alone clutch release bearing for the previous DE setup. This is what is traditionally referred to as "the throwout bearing".
Internet diagnoses are hit-or-miss, you might call ZSpeed. They're good people, very experienced and will be glad to talk to you.

Regards, travlee: Apologies for the redundancy. That part where you informed the OP that what he was hearing was most likely noisy input shaft bearings and why, I liked it so well I thought it worth repeating.
Oh yes, the visual reference to the two systems, HR & DE, that too was good of you.
