Default 5AT to 370z 7AT possible?

(re-posted, accidentally put in diy sub-forum my bad)

hi guys,

just a question for future reference/discussion. i know there's a lot of threads on 5AT to 6MT, but i was wondering if it would be possible to put in the 7AT from the 370 into the 350?

based on the 6mt swap threads, i know i would need at least the cluster and ecu, but would it run in to problems as it is a completely different engine?

i ask because i wanted to put paddles in my 5at eventually, but with the cost of g35/gtr paddles + valve body upgrade i was wondering how much more difficult would it be (right now on ebay there is a 370z 7at tranny for $500 usd)

i know some of you may say sell and buy 370. i paid $8.8k cad which is ~$7k usd so yeah 370 costs like $23k cad. if it's a no go i might just do that in the future when prices drop

any info for/against would be great as this is all just conjecture

It won't be a simple drop in. you would probably need custom wiring for the tcm and other electronics and even then not sure if it would work. Why not do a 6mt swap? it can be done relatively cheap depending on clutch choice.

i was wondering the exact same thing as our auto 5at is a "slushbox" as many call it here, and the 7at from the 370z is no slouch!

i read somewhere the stock 370z Auto does the quarter mile in 13.3
that's pretty good for an auto
