Default Very rough idle. Won't drive

Turbonetics z barely idles. Stalls when given gas. No codes at all. Checked spark, coils, engine compression, fuel pump primes, cleaned tb. Tried a new crank sensor. Maf is a new up rev gt. added gas. Nothing. Runs better with stock maf as it would run richer. I have no idea where to go from here. It cranks for 10 seconds barely starts to idle. Idles very rough and dies if given gas. Will eventually stall out if not given slight gas

I don't think it's a boost leak. I blew a coupler off about 5000 miles ago and it ran fine until you hit boost then it would bog. All the hoses seem fine. Would hate to tow the car to another state to the tuner to find out it wasn't the tune. I was cruising 6th gear at 70mph went to hit the gas to keep up with speed and I felt it bog. Pulled off and it idled like crap and eventually sputtered and died.

Did it throw a code? I have no codes. It will run with either maf but runs better with the stock one, still not right however.

What's your wideband reading? Also what are you using for engine management?

I did not get a code...it makes sense that it would run better but not perfect with a functional stock MAF because you tune is based on the potentially malfunctioning MAF GT...

Even when I replaced my bad MAF GT I still had to get a bit of tuning done since not all MAF GT's are calibrated exactly the same, accodring to my tuner....

Checked for vac leaks tightened some things and what not. The car will crank for awhile start roughly (250 rpm) I'll give it a little gas and it will jump right up to its idle and idle fine. In neutral I can give it half throttle and it will rev normally to 5k. If I punch it there's a hesitation and will hit 3k and stop like there is a fuel cut off. Actually driving the car is almost impossible. Coming to stops it will almost stall or it will. Anything over 20% throttle while in gear will shake the car violently with no power.

Have you diagnosed your mass air flow sensor?

Your symptoms indicate the car is in limp mode. If you can't find any codes, disconnect both battery cables and hold them together for 10 seconds. Reattach them to the battery and try starting it.

If it's in limp mode, you definitely have a code. Try a different scanner.

Limp mode would have tcs and slip light on. There are no lights and this is not limp mode.

The car is at my cousins shop right now. I don't have tools as I just moved into my new apartment (just turned 19.) I told him to start with the fuel pressure as the car seems to only run with over a half tank and the fuel pump is EXTREMELY quiet priming than before. The reason I do not suspect the maf is because it starts the same way regardless. It cranks for 5 seconds before finally roughly starting. Still waiting to hear back from him. I'm honestly interested in hearing what it is. Hopefully he finds it!

P.S. Do not own a turbo 350z while living on your own at 19 ;p it's not fun getting rides to work from your girlfriend because your car doesn't run.
