Default 6mt shifter (not the ****, the assembly)???HELP!!!!

I looked it up in Alldata and it says to replace a spring and nut is like .7 AT THE MOST. On to pics.

So, within about 20ish minutes, that's as far as I got...with janky tools and not being a mechanic...never having done this before, EVER. The car is stuck in 2nd gear so it moves, but I have no reverse. So, getting it on a lift, while possible, will be a PITA. Does anyone know if I have to lift the car to access that panel (2nd pic)? Tranny is fine, but my gear shift has been on the gaff for a while now. I've googled some images and it seems like it's just 4 bolts to access what I need to access. But, I can't find any other info on it and a dealer wants to charge me 2+hrs (and they don't know it's SLAMMED). While I'm not above taking it to a dealer, this seems like a fairly easy job. I just need some insight on what I actually NEED to do. My spare garage time is limited so I don't have a lot of it to trial and error tinker unfortunately. (I work 52 hrs a week and have 2 boys and a wife so my spare time for my "toy" is limited at best).

At the end of the day, I THINK I can do this myself. However, if it's something where I have to drop the tranny or something extensive, it's MURICA time for this ole gal.

Also, anyone know any good online parts stores for our cars (like where I can find used STOCK parts).

Thanks in advance.

You need to get under the car to attach the bottom of the shift lever to the gearbox linkage.

What happened, and what are you trying to do? Did the bottom of the shifter become unattached by itself, because something broke, or a part is missing? If so, put everything back together on top, and repair from underneath.

The shift lever came apart. I've been having issue with reverse for a while. I figured a way to jimmy rig that into working. But, on the 4th, my shifter came apart...well...it popped up. I don't know what's broken down in there. But, I also don't know what I'm supposed to be looking FOR because I can not find a diagram of what's supposed to be there. I've only seen tranny diagrams (which I don't need). I'm essentially just installing a short shifter but the stock version of it lol.

There's basically just a bolt that goes through the bottom of the shifter and attaches it to the linkage. Look at step #12:
