Ok, since I rebuilt the engine I'm getting a code saying the cam timing on bank 2 is over advanced. FTR, I'm running a JWT S2 cam with stock timing gears.

Now as this is something that needed to be precise I double, and triple checked everything to make sure all was aligned.

Since the timing chain is aligned by matching the colored links to the marks on the gears, how can one bank be over advanced if all of the colored links are in the right spot?

I keep trying to wrap my mind around this, but every way I can think of it, there is just no way it can happen unless the colored links were messed up at the factory [ie put in the wrong place at Nissan].

Here is a picture from when I set it. I know you can't see all of the marks, but like I said, I double/triple checked them. I even pulled the cover off a few months ago, and all was fine, however the damned ecu is going into limp mode, and this, I'm betting, is the issue that is triggering limp mode.

Also the engine runs fine, and has plenty of power, all is good except for an intermittent miss somewhere. [I'm checking the coils, and injectors tomorrow].

Ok, looks like it might be the vvt solenoid, which makes more sense than the timing being off on one bank [with all new timing components].
