Can a bad plenum spacer installation cause overheating?
Hey everyone,
A while ago I installed a 5/16" basic plenum spacer from MotorDyne Engineering and thought it went all right. All though it could of have been better because I reused the same gaskets on the head and didn't Loctite the intake manifold bolts. I also took out the valve covers and replaced the spark plug tube socket gaskets with new ones. Anyways after all that stuff was done I did a coolant flush and burped the coolant system from all the air. I checked how hot I was running with an OBDII scanner and it was around mid 90's up to 103 degrees Celsius, that's 218 Fahrenheit for Americans. That's pretty hot and the radiator is always kicking in, even on cooler days. Do you guys have any thoughts why? Maybe the radiator needs replacement because it's damaged, not working at max efficiency?

VQ35 motors should be burped with spill free funnel, otherwise there's a big chance you still having air in the system.
