Unhappy 03 Z not starting

Hi, sorry I could not find what I was looking for in the search bar. Anyway this morning I started my z and it started making a whining noise and I opened the hood to see what it was I thought the belts were really cool and needed to settle in because it is freezing here. So I closed the hood and drove off then I had to turn around and get something I let it sit for a sec and I came back and it smelled like an electrical burning smell and my rpms went down and my voltmeter went low to and the VDC and ABS lights came on for a second. So I reved it a little to get the rpms up and the lights went off. So I drove it where I needed to go and now it wont start. I replaced the started 2 weeks ago and it was running perfect. I check the battery cables the negative was a little lose but the bolt was tight just not the connector to the battery post. I don't know where to start is it the alternator or did the start go again and if so is there a short? Thanks for any help in advance.

nobody will be able to diagnose a car from behind a keyboard. i would suggest taking it to a local parts shop and have them pull the codes

Check you power cables to the starter. If you didn't have this problem before, and just worked on that area then that's the place to start. Check fuses too. If there was a short that could have popped a fuse

When you say it does not start, does it crank? Does the car have electrical power? Does the car smell like fuel after you crank it for a while?
