Default Oil pressure gage

Just get an 2005, runs well but I am concerned about the oil pressure gage being all the way to the maximum,
is that normal? Any idea what it could be? How to fix it?

Of course, not normal. The sending unit is bad. BIG WARNING - it's easy to install, but the area it screws into on the upper oil pan has been known to crack. Use extreme care when tightening the new sender, or better yet, take it to a Nissan dealer and let them take the risk.

My suggestion would be to take picture of how far the current sending unit in installed and don't screw the new one in past that. Also use OEM nissan for the sensor.

When I had to remove and reinstall mine the torque wrench was not useful. I was way below torque but just passing where the previous sensor was installed. I stopped there and haven't had any problems with leaks.

You are supposed to use thread sealant and this is the one listed in the FSM.
