yeah, but 8g's for such a little performance increase is a racket. I think I just threw up in my mouth. Pathetic.

The big question is this...

Do we need to recalibrate our ECU to go with a bigger intake pipe? What I mean is if we would need to reprogram our ECU for going with a bigger air flow meter because of the increase of CFM's?
I was checking out the flow meter from my wrecked Z and I noticed that the actual reading is done by a sensor that is easy to remove. You would simply exchange the intake pipe for a wider and longer one (like the NISMO) and adapt it. The thing is like I said before; would we need to recalibrate anything?

Maybe the key would be to check if the ECU that is already available for the other package in Japan is the same as this one, if it’s the same part number...
Any tuners out there willing to try? I just bought a 2004 350Z and is still stock (not for long ) you send me the pipe, I'll pay for the dyno...not kidding!

NM does not equal lbs/ft

dont feel like doing the conversion, but it isnt equal. PS doesnt equal HP either. but the conversion is like 1.03:1 so its close enough.

These are the camshafts we just got approved for GAC along with the VTC pulleys.
Those are the part you guys were asking about.
I do believe they are talking about power to the wheels.

tonywenzel:

Thanks for the translation on those 14 items.... AND somehow... in between the nismo tuning official description (1st + 2nd paragraphs) and that 14 items, why does Nismo mention about S1 and R1 with "TURBO" or "Large capacity turbo" in the descriptions? are they planning to put in a turbo at all?

thanks a lot!

cheers,

richie

Those absolutely must be RWHP numbers. . .

Read: 296rwhp / 267rwtq

For 6-8k, thats not really that insane to push the engine output to 346hp (roughly 17% through drivetrain). . .

Figure right now most people are spending about $100/per additional hp, so:

$6500 = 61hp = $106/per hp (assuming most people are baseline @ 235rwhp). . . Not a bad way to spend your cash to avoid the turmoil of aftermarket forced induction. I wonder if they'll *crate* these engines?

[sigh] VTC Sprokets... the same pieces the lead tech told my dad to replace on his Z32 prior to them blowing up the motor from oil starvation.

oh the agony....

still in process of suing them... waiting for their response to the deadline (today). it's quiet right now....

Similar... but the S1 is better... check the differences between what the S1 offers compared to my signature. Also, the ECMs are different.
