Default Will a Tial MV-S spring work in a Tial 50 BOV?

Well I got the wrong spring pressure in my BOV from tial.

I need to up the spring pressure to keep it closed at idle. It's wide open on idle and decel and really screwing with my tune.

I have the springs from tial for the 30mm waste gate. Will those translate into their BOV? I don't see why it wouldn't assuming I match the spring pressures.

I've already emailed tile asking 3 times, they have not replied.

no ... dont put a WG spring in a BOV. WG springs are much stiffer than BOV springs.

Can you not adjust the spring pressure in your BOV?

Not exactly. The MV-S comes with 5 or so different springs. Ranging from 0.3 bar or 4 psi to 8.7 psi.

BOV springs are in in/hg which rate from 3 psi to 11psi between the different springs. Accept one is measured in vaccume, while the other is measured in plenum and or positive air volume.

At the end of the day both are springs, both are spun metal. I'm just curious if the profile and if the spring rates will fit.

But as far as I know, no not with these BOV's. They are plugged on intake vaccume. And they sell after market spring kits. But I'm wondering if they are the same springs as the WG springs just sold for BOV to avoid confusion, or if in fact there is a difference that could lead to issues or non comparability.

I see what you're saying ... Give it a go! I'd use your discretion to gauge the spring rate and watch your parameters at idle and when youre in vac.

my WG and BOV are wildly different!

Yea I'm going to use the smallest spring. Also going to Guage the one hats in there now.

If they are completely different length or width I'm not going to try it. But if they are similar I'm just wondering if anyone knew if they were the same or if this could be done. Assume it fits I can't see why they wouldn't.

That wouldn't back the travel ability to function properly with it's designed spring weight and spring travel?

I feel like using the WG springs would be safer and better than washers.
