Default SPL Solid Differential Bushing GAP

Just installed SPL Solid Differential bushings and I have a small gap in between the subframe and the differential at the dif mounting stud.

I have tried pushing the bushing further out but then causes alignment issues with the ears of the differential. (Actually adjusting it three times...had to reinsert the bushing twice....)

Everything is torqued to spec.

Is this normal, will it affect anything?

You may try threading the stud a little farther into the cover which has been my fix, but the reality is it will ride fine like that.

Ive been through a few rear ends now, and I have noticed this wear pattern on the face of almost all of the differential covers where you can see that it was contacting the bushing at an angle.

Not saying its ideal, but it seems to be pretty normal and wont affect anything

I guess I can rest a little easy..SPL emailed back saying that as long as everything is torqued to spec it should be fine.
