I find the downstream sensors way more annoying.

Austin - I was joking … sorta

I did remove my OEM o2 sensors but I also run a stand alone that uses two widebands connected through a controller which feeds a signal to my standalone.

come again? You'd like 'a' map (map as in tune or map as in mani absolute pressure) … and 110? as in 110 octane? why? are you turbo'd or supercharged?

and when I say 'MBT timing' what are your thoughts as it relates to the VQ engine?

Yes a tune for 110 I can switch to on the weekends e85 isn't available for flex fuel but race gas is and yes it's boosted currently makes 500 on 7psi I just wanted to know if the o2s can be deleted with uprev as leaded gas would destroy them im just tryin to get all the power I can safely without goin meth injection

I think you're a little mis-informed - help me help you ...

tell us about your built-block and what upgrades you've done to your fuel setup??

What are your power goals for this car and how much money do you want to spend?

Do you have emissions requirements?

So if you remove your O2 sensors how would you operate the car when you are on a pump gas for daily / non-track driving?

The VQ (in the NA state) is MBT limited … meaning you will pass MBT long before your engine will knock. When you start pushing 14-18psi boost is where knock comes in before MBT.

500hp on 7psi? Seems high? I did 375hp on 8psi (albeit in Colorado). Do you have your dyno sheet? 7psi should put you in the high 300s low 400s. Maybe they were using a crazy correction factor.

last fall I ran 568hp on 17psi on 91oct w/water methanol with no knock...I probably wasn't going to be able to push it too much past that.

I would tell you that your best bet will be running the highest octane at the pump and running water-methanol if you cant get e85 and/or don't want to spend the cash to do e85 right (meaning significantly bigger injectors, twin-pump, a capable ECU to monitoring many things as it relates to e85, and obviously a quality source of E85 or E98). How much do you pay for 101, 104, or 110octane? In Colorado it's around $11/gallon versus $3/gallon for 91oct.

But the answer is no - Uprev relies on the O2 sensors and MAF to tune the car. Realistically - I don't think you'd ever want to remove them all-together. I did remove mine but I replaced them with better/high quality/more capable O2 sensors.
