Flowmaster 80
#4
I agree with 2003Z. I had a custom 80 series flowmaster on my car and it sounded AWESOME. I have the Borla on now and I wish it sounded as good as the flowmaster. My flowmaster was crushed when I was rearended by a Mack truck.

I removed the presilencer, drove home, and right back to the muffler shop to have it reinstalled. It was too raspy.
If you later got a nismo exhaust, the flowmaster would have to go, unless you wanted to mutilate the nismo and use the flowmaster instead of the beautiful polished muffler it comes with.
Ares, how did the injen install go, I heard that exhaust on Yuichi's car and it sounded great.

The 80 series in 3 chamber I believe it is the large OEM style that most LS1's switch to, sounded awesome, that was way before anyone even made a catback. I like my Borla too.
I think the cats would compliment it well, if you like loud rumble, it's not raspy at WOT or over 2000 rpm's defintely get rid of that resonator!

But do you see in hte pic that that ones is still a 2 chamber? EnthuZiast May be you were thinking of the 2 chamber and put down two? I am just saying this because I had a 3 chaber and it had a very hallow sound to it; just sounded awesome. So if they do make e 3 ch. one I would like to konw were they have it?

I love my Flowmaster.
Took 2003Z's advise last fall and had one put on my Brick Track. What a difference, especially with the JWT Pop Charger and then later a Nismo CAI. Very nice sound.
Not to loud but plenty of heads turn when it accelerates. A nice low OOOOOOOOwaaaaaaa, when shifting.

BrickydZ-
What was the model or part number you put on? Was it a DIY mod that bolted right on or did you have to have it slightly modified by a shop? If you don't mind, how much did it run you? Sorry about all the Q's, but I'm really interested in possibly doing this to mine-
Thanks
