Default cluch pedal creak

Every so often when I push in the clutch I hear a creak/crack noise, then it doesn't do it for a while, then it does it again - - any ideas???

Not sure about the Z, but that happened in my old Volvo, and I looked underneath the dash where the clutch pedal pivots. I sprayed some WD40 and also some oil on the pivot points, then it went away.

Mine does it too. I don't think its from the inside though. Kinda weird.

It's the clutch spring in the pedal assembly. Regrease it, and you should be fine.

It happens on lots of cars... what happens is that dust and other stuff gets in the grease, and dries it up a bit.
