Cool TILTON Carbon Carbon 2 Disc Clutch EXPOZED!

OMFG and WOWZERS was all I could say when I opened this piece up.

This is the 2 disc carbon carbon tilton clutch...

It is a 7.25" Clutch for use with the 8lb Tilton Flywheels...

They make 1 / 2 / 3 disc 7.25" clutches...

1 disc handles 310ft-Lbs Torque to the wheels
2 disc handles 620ft-Lbs Torque to the wheels
3 disc handles 930ft-Lbs Torque to the wheels

(same HP ratings for the ceramatallic disc clutches)

4 disc metallic holds 1240HP!!!!

The carbon carbon clutch disc's are made completely out of carbon so are very light weight and have over 20lbs-in squred Moment of Inertia value.

Basicly, if you thought my car reved fast with the 2 cerametallic disk clutch, wait till you see this!

How will this clutch perform...

It will rev just as fast as seen with my Rally / Race set up with the 8lb Flywheel and 2 disc cerametallic clutch but you will beable to slip the clutchwhen starting from a stop or going up hill or inching your way though traffic.

If you want the performance of the tilton and want streetablity and dont want to worry about a super grabby clutch, think about this piece...

Below are some photos of the 2 disc version. It as 2 disc's and 3 plates... all carbon carbon...

well.. i will let the pictures talk...

It is a life of the car clutch...

and the flywheel can be resurfaced...

and if the clutch goes out on your, it is remanufactured by tilton...

I need to check on something else and confirm before I say it... Ill put it in this thread tommorow...

Wow! That is absolutely beautiful. Of course, It better be for the price. Although, $3k might be a worthwhile investment considering its wear/power capabilities.

How much HP is recovered using this setup up? This setup should really reduce the amount of DT loss there is on are cars. If the stock setup weighs in at 66 lbs and this setup is only 16 total lbs, that should make a noticable difference.

So how much do you think is freed up??

you can use a single disk carbon carbon clutch but i wouldnt recomend it for long term durability...

you can slip the current cerametallic disc clutch i am running in my car now... that package is $1310 including flywheel...

What is the drawback to running the 3-disc clutch vs the 2-disc clutch? (Other than price, of course.)

Does the 3-disc slip differently? Any negatives?

3disc will engauge quicker and be a little more grabby... plus will last a little longer and be more durable...

What is the point of multiple discs? How does that even work? Does each disc slip on each other?

So $3k for a clutch huh? Yowzers...
