Well, I had the Greddy profec e01 installed and also my defi gauges installed at the same time (by Superautobacs). After that they drove the car down to MOB to get it painted. I picked the car up 3 days later and it looked great. The work they did on the inside was great except for the mounting of the greddy screen. I then drove it a couple of days after that......when one day....I ran into this 03 c5. We looked at each other and it was on.....he took off....and then i got on his tail....I then got next to him and punched it....i hit about 130mph and then let off the gas when all of this white smoke released from back of me onto the vet. We pulled over at the next gas station off of the 91fwy and I thought I was going to ****.....the car was sounding good but I was still scared. The driver got out of the car and said nice kill. He then proceeded to tell me to go and get my car checked out because he thinks that I may have blown a gasket. My mechanic came to my house that saturday to look at my car and drop some parts off and he took the car to the shop. The next day after he ran a leakdown test, he proceedes to tell me that my psi level (which was supposed to be at 200+psi) was at about 160psi. He then says that he thinks my rings were shot and the rest is history....

sounds like you're making the best out of the situation.

i've been using Microsoft Office Photo Manager lately to resize pics. it has a bunch of pre-set sizes (for example 640x480) so it only takes a second to resize pics.

Guys just to let you know, I have tons of pics to show you, but I cant attach them because they are too big. Does anyone know how I can attach them, other wise, the next thing you will be seeing is another pic o fmy car in 2 months when the engine comes back from the shop being resleeved (AEBS). ....... and by the way, the car will be pushing around 450-475hp when it is completed....see you guys in 2 months...

its a mistery as to what caused the spike. One theory is that when Superautobacs installed the kit, they did not attatch the controller to anything which left it laying on my shif boot. when ever i would make a turn the controller would fall on the floor thus causing me to kick the controller. maybe i kicked it up to 10psi i dont know...but my mechanic says that i was probably at 400hp+ easily....

Sounds possible. IF you push the main dial in on the controller, it puts the Profec into learning mode....one more "turn" of that dial, you are increasing boost...rapidly...so its possible after a few kicks and steps on that controller, you inadvertently kicked the boost waaaaaay up.

Sorry to hear this..but I'm glad it didnt destory the motor entirely, and just did some ring, headgasket type damage.
