Default NISMO forged pistons+rods?

Heuy guys.. I've been on the boards for sometime reading and learning and I have searched and found nothing about a certain set of 8.5:1 Nismo internals on Performance Nissan's website.

Anybody knows about this? Sounds very interesting...

they are really made by another company, i want to say je, then rebadged as nismo and sold for a higher price. the only authentic nismo internals are the heads, and crank.

Speaking of cranks. Has anybody installed the Nismo crankshaft on their car.

imagine an 8000 rpm Z with higher compression, tilton, 3.9 fd, nismo heads and titanium valvetrain, pauter lightweight rods, and nismo lsd, and coilovers and performance pads and suspension. And sticky tires on stock rims, the ultimate sleeper/ Carrera Killer just not turbo killer, but gt3 wannabeee. ahhh thats awsome, i'll do it what the heck. Its a job to take to aps and turbo it while your at it and kill yourself with dept. hahahahahha

What kind of gains are claimed for the NISMO crankchaft? What an expensive install that would be!

The stock 350Z crank is incredibly beefy and strong. It's made from forged chromoly steel, and the guys are Japan are pumping 1000whp out of it. It would be the last mod I would make. There may be other ways to modify our stock crank for even more strength...

typically the only reason to replace the crank is to rev the engine higher, i cant think of any other reason in our application
