It might be a VQ30. That's the powerplant that Top Secret is using in their 600 hp 350Z.
Beautiful plenum none the less. I'd love to see a plenum like that made available to the public soon.

Judging from the location of the oil cap and the dipstick in the first picture, seems like a vq35 to me. I don't have the faintest clue what a vq30 looks like so maybe someone who knows more about it than I do can chime in.

how sure are you about that engine being the VQ35? I know the VQ30 is made to handle boost, that is why they have companies running VQ30's up to 800hp etc., it would seem less complicated to swap a VQ30 and build it than start from a VQ35. How many VQ35s are there that can handle that much boost?
This picture was taken at the Need for Speed Underground Drift event at irwindale speedway, right? When I first saw this car I thought it was the VQ30DE too. But looking at the pictures now I would say it is a VQ35DE. How about that mopar dodge viper crashing into the falken s14? Pretty crazy stuff.
