Default Dyno Numbers?!?

what's up everybody? How are you? I actually got my car dynoed today so that before I start modding my car, I can see my stock numbers versus the aftermarket products I install and the results were a little awkward....I was expecting more HP than TQ, but it was the other way around. We ran 4 passes and the best output was 225HP and 274TQ ... stock. Now there was no spike in the tq because it had those high numbers everytime.....so my question is really has anyone gotten any similar numbers....I'm not complaining, I ran a 13.9 at 100mph at the track with the temp being 89*F, but if anyone has any comments, please feel free to reply.

Those numbers arent possible out of a Stock Z, with the exception of the HP.

If they were switched, it'd vice versa,..no way

What Dyno was used?

Off topic, but is it possible for you to post your time slip? Or at least the number.... 60 ft. & 1/8 etc.

I'll go ahead and post up the dyno results on Friday so you can check them out, and I'll try and find the time slip for the track...it was at the beginning of the summer....if anything, I am going back to the track in about a week and I plan on breaking my time !!!

I have to say, I am still quite shocked at the results. I used DynoJet which I believe a lot of people have been using so it should be pretty reliable. I don't know, once the headers are installed we'll see the power gains and whether the torque is still up there. Sorry, I didn't find my time slip, so I'll post a new one once I get to Moroso.

Was the dyno corrected? SAE? STD? Which one did the shop use? If that was on a dynojet either your using a weird correction or the dyno needs to be calibrated. Your 1/4 time doesnt justify your overly high TQ number, I ran 13.7 @ 101 stock with 239/240 whp/tq fwiw

its gotta be a bad dyno... being that the stock tq to the crank is 274..
unless maybe its not measuring in ft/lbs?

could be that COJ_General is not reading it right. Often, dynos post one scale for HP (left) and another for torque (right). He might have been reading only one side... in any case, pictures are worth 1000 words, so do post and we'll know.

is this on a 5at?

Looks kinda like this dyno.

I believe someone else with a 5at had this happen to them as well, can't remember for sure though.
