I'm ready to do some serious mods...and am looking for a shop/mechanic within 100 miles of San Francisco that knows what it's doing and has a good reputation.

Any leads would be appreciated.

 

z car garage for big installs (such as s/c or tt)

check out the norcal section, theres an entire thread of shops and places to fix or mod your z.

 

The folks at Z car gargage are extremely knowledgeable about Z cars and do great work, but they are the very pricey. They charged me over $100 for exhaust install and over 7 hrs for my nismo lsd (after quoting me 5 hrs). See if they'll give you a quote in writing so there is no discrepancy when you pick up your car. I am happy with their work but felt a little misguided when I picked up the car and an extra 2.5 hours were added without giving me any kind of heads up.
