Anyone with Valve body and TC for 5AT???
I have seen some old threads about the VB and TC, but I was curious how the cars that have the upgrades been doing?
How was it to take apart and install?
Price for each part?
And do you feel that it makes a big difference?

There is a "discount" posted by gspot35 for the Level 10 TC and VB upgrade that expires on October 14th. It is a GREAT price, but like you would like to find someone who has done both and get their feedback. Both by Level 10 would be preferred!
Guys - I THINK I had the first all Level 10 T/C & V/B work done about 10 months ago & have enjoyed a more responsive ride with a minor reduction in mpg ( maybe 1 - 1.5 ) since then. I added a 18k GVW Perma-Cool tranny cooler inline with the factory setup & have had no heat problems even in our 100+ degree Louisiana summer. While I did not do any comparison runs with just the tranny mods ( did intake, exhaust & ECU mods at the same time ), it's alot easier to break the rear tires ( 275/35/18 Nittos ) loose from a dead stop & the shifts are firmer only at WOT. Part-throttle shifts seem about the same but don't be WOT in the middle of a turn when the 1-2 shift occurs or you'll find yourself sideways!!
Installation is a basic R&R but having a tranny jack helped as well as access to a lift since ya must remove most of the exhaust system just to drop the tranny. Give Level 10 about 5-7 business days ( at best ) to do their work. The T/C work was $698 & the Hydrosystem V/B mod was $498.
Yes, I'd recommend these mods to anyone wanting to maximize their ability to put the VQ's power to the ground!

I had the Stillen valve body upgrade installed last week in Orange County and drove back to Vegas. There is definitely a noticeable difference quicker shifts. I can really tell the difference when in manual mode where there is no lag time shifting from gear to gear. I definitely recommend getting this upgrade.
Would be nice if someone data logged the exact shift times after the VB change. For example the old 4 speed AT took 800 milliseconds to shift [ignition advance drop to ignition full return].
The two 5 AT I measured took ~~650 and 675 milliseconds.
Much of this time is preprogrammed in TCU/TCM.
Having a faster shift with no speed up in engine power return leaves something on the table.
With 2 shifts in the quarter mile every 100 millisecsonds counts.
Since the stock TC already has a 2600 rpm minimum [2900 rpm max] stall speed what do the say the new TC are?

Unfornately I did not data log the shift time before and after the valve body upgrade. However, if anyone plans on coming up to Las Vegas and wants to see the difference with the valve body upgrade, they are more than welcome to drive my car around to see the difference. BTW, I have not tried chirping the tire from 1-2 and 2-3 yet but will do so this weekend.
My 5 at runs 13.84 with a stillen stage 2 . I want to do the torque
converter and valve body . How much of a difference do you think it will make. I would like to use the level 10 for all my work.
I am still running stock tires hope to get into the 12 's when all
this work is done.

i only have a couple more questions..:
whats a still en stage 2?
does it let you up/ down shift when you want? or still make you wait untill your in a certian range?
how fast is the shifting over 3 or 4 gears up / down?
does this void the warranty on the tranny?
id LOVE to come down and try yours! from portland OR drive would be greaat
