Default Tilton Package - Exact weights!!!

Alright... Adam and I are now 2.5 hours in, and determined it's time for lunch!

We have the Tilton flywheel in, with the clutch ready to go. It is time to chill and enjoy some of the Titans vs Texas over chicken wings.

If you guys are curious... here is the stock vs. tilton package weight. A BIT different than the 54 vs 14 lbs difference as originally discussed. However it is still a BIG difference... Impressions to come later tonight!

Alright... just had it on the road for a good 30 minutes.

Note this IS NOT the street version!!!

** DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT buy this for a daily driver unless you're VERY patient and can drive an EXTREMELY hard to drive clutch setup!!! **

I drove Jason's so I knew somewhat to expect, and this setup is mildly more difficult than his street setup.

First and second gears are honestly no more, the closest thing I can compare to would be an procharged Z... Third and fourth are still pull amazing strong however it's not really a gain of torque, so I can't say it throws you back... I'd be curious to see how Jason's claims of a Tilton equipped car are vs a supercharged Z. I honestly couldn't tell you.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions...

I'm just freaking exhausted, so I'm hitting the hay.

hah, That's a lot cheaper than supercharging. What about having both, I think the street version won't hold up with a supercharger or a turbo.

what is the diffeence between the street setup, versus the non-street setup?

can the non-street handle more rwhp?

The street version is for less than 300hp and the Non-street can handle a turbo or SC easily. The street is said to be easier to drive daily. The Non-street is VERY hard to drive daily. First gear is a HUGE PAIN IN THE @#$. After you get going, the car pulls like mad. No clutch can really even come close. But you do lose all the ease of driving a stock or less performance style clutch.

thanks. i'm assuming 300 hp is rwhp?

if so then if i plan to stay N/A, there's no real reason to use the rally/non-street setup right?

Yeah, lovetoclown has it right... It sucks from a start.

Maybe in time I'll do the street version as I do remember Jason's car giving me less headache!!!

It's a blast though... If you're anywhere near Nashville, lets go for a spin!

I don't think the street version can handle the amount of power you are going to put down.
