Nissan Sport Magazine meet Auckland, New Zealand
So Dave from Nissan Sport Magazine, tells me 2 weeks beforehand he's heading all the way down to New Zealand. Now we didn't want to disappoint, and let Dave think we don't have a huge car scene in NZ.
So emails flurried, and forums a posted, msn working overtime all around the country.
Dave's flight was delayed so he ended up coming straight from the airport to meet up with us all, was well, noticeably surprised at the number of Nissan/Datsuns he was greeted by. The whole carpark area was a sea of every type of Nissan you can imagine just about. Plus more arriving all the time. We ended up with about 70 Nissans, many of which you don't see in the US, some very rare. Dave must have just about blown a whole memory card just taking photos of all the cars.
Kind of obliterated the 10-15 number he had in his mind to expect! Lol. Would have been substantially more with more notice (next time Dave, lol,
) especially given the short notice.
It was amazing to see some Zeds that we've not seen at a meet before. Even better was the huge array of different Nissan's, Pulsar's, Skyline's, Stagea's, Silvia's, Primera's, 240z's, 260z's, 280z's, Z31, the very old 1966 Fairlady, Z32's & Z33's, no Maxima's of G's though.
Heaps more there in spirit as they couldn't make it.
It just shows, that the networks between the clubs & people work extremely well, even worldwide. Totally awesome to have so many Nissan clubs together (about 7 clubs in total) for a combined event!!!
We had people travel 100's of kilometres to be there. Just a few picys as a tease.
LS1 Supercharged 240z

1966 Fairlady

The large and mini Zee.

Skyline R32, very sort after, full on show car, wins stacks of awards
