CSCC Karting @ CMP - 4/9/11
went with my friends from the clemson sports car club to do some karting at carolina motorsports park last weekend. had a great time! had to get used to how to drive the karts versus how you drive a normal RWD car. i didn't do so well but i had fun and that's what matters right? of course i couldn't drive and take pictures at the same time so all the pictures after the one of me (#23), my friend chris took using my camera. here's the album:

thanks guys! this was a lot of fun, the karts get up to upwards of 70mph in a straight line so this can get crazy, find a place near you that offers professional racing carts like this and give it a shot! it's completely different from driving a car. even as small as the tires are, they have 10x more grip than you can stand.
I just went to Andretti Karting in ATL last week with the GF and those things only get up to 30 mph (indoor track) and...it...was...awesome, 70 mph must be ridiculous! I'm definitely going to check out this place!
